Apart from that, the first part of the post talks about how the writer, whom is also a smart phone reviewer, was awed by the N9. Hence I quote him "stuff I took from it and the stuff that make it enjoyable to use day after day" and "rarely that I see something new that when I get my hands on something truly unique and innovative, I'm all in.".
The 7 things that Chavis listed are:
- The always-on clock
- The double-tap-to-wake gesture
- The clock interface when setting up alarms and the time
- The amazing touch haptics
- Scrolling your contacts
- The unified message inbox
- The music player auto-generating its album art
Although I very much agree with what he have but, I would like to add in a few things which I personally felt should make it to the list,
- The Swipe UI - Swipe left, right, up to put apps into background and swipe down to close.
- The dedicated home view - for how multi-tasking apps and games are being handled.
- The feeds and news home view - Easy one glance page to see all updates on social networks, RSS feeds, calendar, reminders, weather and news. You name it.
All in all, it's a pity to let Meego and N9 go. It is so much more than the features and the 10 things listed here. There are so much that it is difficult to explain by words and you have to pick one up and give it a real try. Use it as your main phone for 3 days and I bet when you switch back, you find yourself missing the wonderful N9 and doing things on your phone which is truly N9. I believe it's called the "User Experience", you will get hook.
So here are the 10 things I love about my N9. What about you? Anything you think should be included too?
