Here are 2 examples of how artists can make or break a song

You know how they say a song can make or break an artist, but I think it’s the other way around too. A singer can make or break a song.

One great example here is song by Eminem ft. Rihanna “Love the Way You Lie”, I’m sure many of us love it. Recently I watched an episode of “The Sing-Off” season 3, a singing competition for a cappella groups, and loves how one group called “Urban Method” presented the song “Love the Way You Lie”. I like the original version and all but, somehow the after watching Urban Method’s performance I like the song even better.

Watch their performance here.

Another of my, and many other thousands I believe, favourite song is “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele. Adele not only has great deep voice, she is also beautiful. On the new year’s eve of 2012, a singer wannabe performed “Rolling in the Deep” live in front of thousands of audiences and it was broadcasted to every single household in Singapore, JB and some say Batam. The singer was none other then Tay Ping Hui, did he make or break the song? You be the judge.

For fans of Adele, I urge you not to view the video below. You have been warned, turn back NOW!
I cannot force myself to finish watching the video. I think should rename the song to “Rolling in the Deep Shit” instead.

So what is your favourite song? Do you like “Love the Way You Lie” by Eminem or Urban Method better? Or is it Tay Ping Hui’s “Rolling in the Deep” you preferred?
